Richard A. "Rick" Weybright, 63, of Rock Island, died Friday, Oct. 3,
2014 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Rock Island.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Pius X
Catholic Church, Rock Island. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at
Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Memorials may be
made to Alleman High School or to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center,
Milan.
Richard Allen Weybright was born Oct. 24, 1950, in Moline, a son of
Richard F. and Laura Boettcher Weybright. He married Cheryl C. Vick on
June 11, 1971, in Rock Island.
Rick graduated from Moline High School in 1968. He worked as a mail
handler for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 2009.
He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam era veteran. Rick was a member of St. Pius
X Catholic Church and the Rock Island Moose. He enjoyed traveling,
photography, blues music and his Wednesday morning retirees coffee
gatherings at Cool Beanz. Among his loves were his granddaughter,
Addison and his dog, Lily.
Rick is survived by his wife, Cheryl; sons and daughters-in-law,
Michael and Brieana Weybright, Moline, and Thomas and Lisa Weybright,
Washington, Ill.; granddaughter, Addison Weybright, Washington; father
and stepmother, Richard and Darlene Weybright, Indianola, Iowa; and
brother, Jeffrey (Diane) Weybright, Moline. He was preceded in death
by his mother.
