Richard D. Van Dine, 82, of Colona, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024, at his home.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Milan American Legion. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to the family.

Richard was born August 9, 1941, in Moline, the son of William and Marie (Ternoey) Van Dine. Richard was a car enthusiast. He loved show cars, hot rods, and classic cars. In his younger years, he was a drag racer.

He is survived by his daughter, Melinda Woldridge; grandchildren, Lauren Van Dine and Christian Woldridge; siblings, Nancy Nigut-Stevenson, Clive, IA, Mike (Kathy) Van Dine, Ashland, OH, Ted (Nancy) Van Dine, Rock Island, IL; and many nieces; and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Susan; and son, William Daniel.
