Rita R. Hearn, 49, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday August 12, 2014 at O.S.F.-St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

Services are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 19th, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island, with vistation one hour prior to services. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Rita was born July 26, 1965 in Rock Island, a daughter of Willie Hearn Jr. and Willie Mae Dandridge Hearn.

In addition to being a homemaker, she was employed at the Holiday Inn, Rock Island for many years. She enjoyed decorating her home.

Surviving are her longtime companion, Terry Britt, Rock Island; children, Keomi Neely, Torreese Britt, Terry Britt Jr., Terrica Britt, Terraine Britt, Terrion Britt, Rita Britt, and Jimmy Britt, all of Rock Island; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Hearn, Rock Island, Marjorie Washington, Milan, Bettie Hearn, Rock Island, Katherine Villareal, Florida; brothers, Willie Hearn III, Davenport, Ronnie Hearn, Rock Island, Kenneth Hearn, Davenport, Travis Hearn Sr., Rock Island; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Rita was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, son, Terron Britt, grandchildren, Patience Britt and Terraine Britt Jr., brothers, Charles and Arnold Hearn.
