Robert L. "Bobby" Bausal, 78, of Rock Island, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Celebrate

Senior Living of Moline.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery.

Bobby was born on September 1, 1947, in Halls, Tennessee, the son of James and Curlee (Jones)

Bausal. He was a graduate of Rock Island High School. He was well known throughout the Quad

Cities as "Bobby" and was employed at John Deere as the first Black pattern maker in the Quad

Cities. He was also employed for a short time with Model Cities.

Bobby enjoyed roller skating, basketball, karate, playing baseball, and attending HBCU Football

Classics.

Bobby was a supportive, loving, and caring brother who was always there for his family, offering

encouragement, listening without judgment, and genuinely wanting the best for all of us. He was a

trusted friend, a protector, and a source of strength through life's ups and downs.

Bobby leaves to cherish his memory: son, Michael (Keona) Shivers; daughter, Parrish Fowler; special

friend, Brenda Monroe; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Lola Lambert of Rock Island;

brothers, Henry Clash of Rock Island and Danny (Laurette) Clash of Altadena, California; and several

nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Albert Clash; and maternal and paternal

grandparents.
