Robert G. Brown, 90, of Rock Island, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Rock Island.  Private Graveside Memorial Services for Robert will be held at the Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel.  Memorials may be made in care of South Park Presbyterian Church or the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

Robert was born on January 7, 1927 in Abilene, Kansas, the son of Dr. William I. and Myrtle I. (Cary) Brown.  He graduated from Rock Island High School in 1945 and attended the University of Iowa.  Robert married Patricia J. Cameron on May 29, 1948 in Rock Island.  She passed away on November 25, 2005.  He married Joanne Coffland Fritts on September 29, 2007 at South Park Presbyterian Church, Rock Island.  Robert worked as a supervisor at Case International Harvester, East Moline and retired in 1989.  He was a member of South Park Presbyterian Church, Rock Island.  Robert enjoyed woodworking, volunteering, boating and playing golf with his friends.  He loved people and would often walk at the mall and socialize with fellow walkers.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joanne, Rock Island; sons, Stephen C. (Bobbi) Brown, Ft. Myers, FL; Scott C. (Lenora) Brown, East Moline; grandchildren, Cameron, Nicholas, Robert, Rachael and Jessica; several great grandchildren; and a sister, Dora Friederichs, Davenport
