We are profoundly saddened to announce the passing of Robert Michael Chambers, 72, affectionately known as "Mike" and "Bongo." A beloved father, grandpa, great grandpa , friend and uncle to many.

Mike's journey was defined by his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love. He was passionate about racing, with a particular fondness for NASCAR and dirt track events. He enjoyed attending car shows, especially those featuring classic models. Ice cream was a daily delight for him, sometimes indulging in multiple times a day. Above all, Mike cherished spending time with his family, always prioritizing their happiness over any specific plans or activities. He didn't mind what he was doing as long as he was with his loved ones.

He is survived by his beloved daughter Michelle Chambers (Tim Noel) and his children Todd Danner, Teri Mayhugh, and Desirae Wagner. His enduring legacy lives on through his grandchildren—Baylee and Shelbee Bradley, Ashley Mayhugh-Schmanski (Dan Schmanski), Brittany, Christina, and Zachariah Noel, Tyler Johanson, and Aaron, Marquis, Nevaeh, and Alvani—and his great-grandchildren Breanna, Bella, Bentley, Aiyden, Gabe, Aria, and Kylie. Mike is also survived by his sister, Susie, and his nephew, Michael "Boober" Kelley, along with many cherished nieces and nephews. He held a special place in the hearts of his dear friends, including Denny McNeal and the McNeal family.

Mike will be remembered for his warm, giving spirit, joyful presence, and the countless ways he enriched the lives of those around him. As we say goodbye, we celebrate a life well-lived and the lasting impact Mike has made on all who knew him. In accordance with his wishes, no funeral services will be held. Graveside services will be Thursday August 8th at 2pm at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery.
