Robert "Bob" Dean Lester, 69, of Rock Island passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Rock Island.

Cremation rites have been accorded and no services are to be held at this time. Memorials may be made in care of the family. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.

Bob was born on February 28, 1953 in Moline, the son of Hal Lester and Lois Fulper. He graduated from Moline High School in 1971. He later married the love of his life, Sharon Hicks. Bob worked in production for John Deere for over 35 years, retiring from Harvester Works in East Moline.

Bob's hobbies included wood working, fixing things, and taking long car rides with his wife. He always had a happy and infectious spirit and was a very devoted and loving husband.

Those left to cherish Bob's memory include his wife, Sharon; daughter, Crystal Winfree; grandchildren, Austin and Bella; sisters, Deanna Ruckdeschel (Mike) and Connie (James) McKelvey; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
