Robert G. DeBarr Jr., 69, of East Moline, formerly of Rock Island, passed away Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at Aperion Care, East Moline.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and no services are planned at this time. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Robert was born on May 18, 1947, in Joliet, a son of the Robert G. Sr. and Lois Thurlow DeBarr. Bob graduated from Rock Island High School and Augustana College. He worked for a time as an accountant at the Rock Island Arsenal.

Survivors include his siblings, Mark (Gail) DeBarr, Davenport, James (Barbara) DeBarr, Gainesville, Fla., and Joan (Greg) Stone, Bloomington; along with many other nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
