Robert E. Griffin, 86, of Moline, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026 at Mercy One, Genesis, Illini Campus, Silvis.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030-7th Avenue, Rock Island. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island with military honors. Memorials can be made to American Heart Association or American Lung Association.

Robert was born July 9, 1939 in Fairfield, IA, the son of Bill and Lila (Hoskins) Griffin.

Robert was a U.S. Navy Veteran and worked as a machinist for Reynolds. He enjoyed dirt track racing and was an avid NASCAR fan especially Jeff Gordon, Hawkeye, Cubs, Rams and Bears fan.

Survivors include his sister, Tammy Edwards, Des Moines, IA and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Susan Mowery and brothers, Larry, Billy and Terry Griffin.
