Robert E. Green, 89, Moline, IL passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at UnityPoint-Trinity Hospital, Rock Island. There will be a visitation from 10-11:00 AM with a funeral service following at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Burial at Illinois City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children.

Bob was born on July 16, 1935 to Robert A. and Hilda (Dusenberry) Green in Muscatine, IA. On November 18, 1955 he was united in marriage to Beverly Wolfe in Moline. The couple made their home in Rock Island where they raised their three children. Beverly passed away in 2000.

Bob proudly served as a firefighter for the City of Rock Island for many years. He also worked as a union bricklayer and was the superintendent for Bert M. Lafferty Company.

Bob was an active member of the Shriner's and the Rock Island Retired Firefighters Association. He was also involved with the Scottish Rite and Coordinate Valley of Moline and the Eureka Lodge in Milan. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Bob is survived by his children, Robert (Teresa) Green Jr. of North Port, FL and Dennis Green of Ashville, NC; brother, Arnold Green; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beverly; and daughter, Teresa Morelock.
