Robert F. Harmon Jr., 85, of Milan, passed away Sunday April 10, 2016 at home.

Services will be Noon Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be Friday from 10am to service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be left to St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Milan, where he was a member.

Robert was born April 19, 1930 in Chicago, the son of Robert and Florence (Patterson) Harmon Sr.  He married Barbara Tobin on October 21, 1951, in Moline.  He had been employed in the shipping and receiving department at Alcoa for 42 years, retiring in July 1992.

Mr. Harmon was a United States Navy Veteran.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Barbara; children, Robbi Schlitz, Georgia, Gary Harmon, Milan, Craig (Sheryl)Harmon, Maryland, Keith Harmon, California, Neil Harmon, Milan; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
