Robert D. "Bob" Krohn Sr., 66, of Davenport, died Saturday, May 7, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services are 10 am Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island.  Burial is at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island.  Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Bob was born Sept. 27, 1949 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, a son of Robert M. and Betty Nielsen Krohn.

He worked many years in the banking profession in the Quad Cities.  He recently retired as Senior Vice President of American Bank and Trust Co., and previously worked at The National Bank, Blackhawk Bank and Trust,  and First National Bank of Rock Island.

Bob enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Oakwood Country Club and previously the Rock Island Arsenal Golf Club.  He had a great love for his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and granddaughters.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Robert Jr. and Ashli Krohn, Painesville, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law,  Dr. Kathryn "Katie" and Dr. Daniel Dischler, Omaha, Neb.;  granddaughters, Zoey Krohn and Aurelia Dischler; brothers, Jerry (Frieda) Krohn, Goode, Va., and Mike (Julie) Krohn, Ankeny, Iowa; his sister, Bonnie (Dave) Peters, Shelby, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and son, David Krohn.
