Robert L. "Bob" Davenport, 90, of Andalusia, IL, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity, Rock Island. Cremation rites have been accorded. Per the family's wishes, private services will be held, and burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Bob.

Robert was born on May 8, 1932, in Viola, IL, the son of Roscoe and Gladys (Brown) Davenport. He married Joanne Peterson on February 23, 1952, at Viola United Presbyterian Church. Robert served in the United States Navy during the Korean War from 1952 to 1956. He was a member of Viola United Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Post 2910 in Bloomington. Bob enjoyed harness horse racing, traveling, spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Baxter.

Survivors include his daughters, Tracy (John) Patterson, Bentonville, AR, Laurie (Rick) Finch, Andalusia, IL, Tia (Bill) Woods, Englewood, FL; grandchildren, Erin, Bryan, Cody, Emily, and Allyson; and great-grandchildren, Payton, Corbin, and Abel.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne; and siblings, Mildred, Dorothy, Dallas, Marilyn, Martha, Chuck, and Benjamin.
