Robert Allen McRae, 34, of Scottsdale, AZ, formerly of Rock Island, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2016 as a result of an recreational vehicle accident.  Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island.  Memorials may be made in care of Faith Beckhart for the Robert McRae Memorial Fund.

Robert was born on March 4, 1982 in Jacksonville, MO, a son of the late Charles A. McRae, Sr. and Genniene Billiet Nelson.  Robert graduated from Sherrard High School and attended Black Hawk College.  He was currently employed by Yelp in Scottsdale, AZ .  Robert loved his job and the company.

Robert was an adventure seeker and avid Superman fan who loved mountain climbing, biking, hiking and anything outdoors.  He also was an awesome ping pong player who loved music and he thrived on being the center of attention.  In many ways, he was a perfectionist .  He had a deep love for his family and friends.  Robert had an especially close relationship with his cousin, Ashley Smith and his niece, Chasity Beckhart.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Genniene Nelson; siblings, Shawn Cobb, Chuck McRae, Faith Beckhart, Chuckie McRae, Ida McRae, Venus Haut, Johnnie McRae, Jimmy McRae and Joshua McRae; numerous nieces, nephews, many other loving family members and his Yelp extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, brother, Eugene and his grandparents.
