Robert L. Noppe, Sr., 71, of Rock Island, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 at St. Anthony's Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Rock Island. Services for Robert will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to family for a memorial tree to be planted in Sunset Park, Rock Island. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Robert was born on October 10, 1943 in Davenport, a son of Adolf and Anna Noppe. Robert worked at the John Deere Foundry, East Moline for over 25 years before his retirement. He enjoyed drag racing, camping and traveling to the Rocky Mountains.

Survivors include his children, Robert L. Noppe Jr., Peoria, James L. Noppe, Rock Island, and Jennifer L. (Jason) Noppe-Willis, Rock Island; grandchildren, Jesse, Mackenzie, and Jaxson; three great grandchildren; and a brother, Richard (Linda) Noppe, East Moline.
