Robert A. Olsen , 86, of Moline, IL, formerly of Milan, IL, passed away Saturday March 5, 2022 at his home in Moline.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 4th Avenue E., Milan, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Preemption Cemetery, Preemption, IL. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

Robert was born April 11, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, a son of Carl and Mildred Peck Olsen.

He was a machinist and tool maker for International Harvester, Farmall Works for many years. Following their closure, he worked at Swan Engineering until his retirement.

Robert enjoyed racing boats in his earlier years. He was a life-long member of both the National Rifle Association and the Amateur Trapshooting Association. He enjoyed trapshooting, fishing and hunting.

Surviving are his sister, Evelyn Olsen, Moline; nieces, Terese Almquist, Minneapolis, MN, Patricia Almquist, Magnolia, TX and Jean Dixon, Reynolds, IL; nephews, John Almquist, Magnolia, TX and James Almquist, Gilbert, AZ; and their families.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Alfred Olsen; and two sisters, Elaine Almquist and Elizabeth Olsen.
