Robert D. Scott Sr., 95, of Rock Island, passed away Friday August 4, 2017 at Unity Point Health Trinity, Rock Island.

Graveside services will be 1:00pm Wednesday August16, 2017 in Preemption Cemetery, with the Rev. Tim Carr officiating.

Robert was born on April 20, 1922 in Coal Creek, Iowa, the son of William and Anna Scott. He married Kathryn Hazouka on December 12, 1946 in Rock Island. She preceded him in death on April 2, 1994.

Robert was a World War II Navy Veteran. Following his discharge from the Navy, Robert worked as a insurance adjuster with Bituminous Insurance Company and later with Allstate Insurance Company.

Mr. Scott was a avid Chicago Cubs fan, he also enjoyed tennis, golf and his collection of tropical fish.

Survivors include his son, Robert Scott Jr., Rock Island; numerous nieces and nephews.
