Robert W. "Bob" Bashaw, 49, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at his residence. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Memorials may be made in care of the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.

Bob was born January 22, 1973, in Moline, to James "Jim" and Kay (Winterbottom) Bashaw. He graduated from Rock Island High School. Bob later married Delrae Jordan on July 14, 2018, in Rock Island. Bob was a handyman and owned and operated Smitty's Services. He was also a volunteer firefighter and EMT in the Blackhawk Fire Protection District. Bob was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting. You could always find him tinkering around and starting new projects, specifically wood projects that he made for his family and friends. Above all, Bob cherished time spent with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He had a rough exterior but a heart of gold and would always be there for you.

Those left to honor Bob's memory include his wife, Delrae; daughter and son-in-law, Arazi and Taylor Love; father, Jim Bashaw; step-children, Dylan (Abby) Mayers and Jordan (Dowl Benn) Mayers; grandchildren, Stella, Adalynn, and Raylynn; very good friends, JD Jordan, Ethan Johnson, Kurt Jensen, Danny Parr, and Darren Cain; brother, Tom Bashaw; dogs, Mike and Molly; and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Kay.
