Robert "Bob" Wayne Kadel, 82, Taylor Ridge, IL passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at his home with his wife by his side. There will be a private graveside service at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Taylor Ridge. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family.

Bob was born on June 18, 1940 to Herman C. and Vera M. (Schmidt) Kadel in Moline, IL. He grew up on the family farm, where he would spend the next 82 years.

On August 13, 1961 he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Foster in Aledo, IL. The couple made their home on the farm where they raised their three children.

Bob farmed until he was 62 years old. He then did maintenance at Rockridge School and worked as a lift operator at Snowstar in the winters for the next ten years.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Ann; children, Robert, Kristin, and Keri; his grandchildren, "The Six-Pack;" one great-grandson; and two sisters, Mona Martin and Vonda Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, John.
