Robin L. McCarthy, 70, passed peacefully on June 30, 2025, at her home surrounded by family after a short but resilient battle with cancer. Born on March 10, 1955, in Davenport, Iowa, to William and Helen (Anderson) Tacey, Robin lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to her family. She married Jim McCarthy on February 26, 1972, in Rock Island.

Robin spent 35 plus years as an inside sales representative at Inpro/Seal. An avid reader and an enthusiastic gardener, Robin found joy in nurturing both plants and family ties. She loved camping and traveling, always seeking new adventures and cherishing time spent with loved ones. Robin's warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and her legacy will forever be honored and remembered.

A memorial service will be held in celebration of Robin's life on July 3, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home in Rock Island, IL. Prior to the memorial, a visitation will take place at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to the time of service, allowing friends and family to gather in remembrance and love.

Those left to cherish Robin's memory are her husband, Jim; children, Mike McCarthy and Corey Lampkin; grandchildren, Julian, Davidson (Kristina), Jourdian (Abran), Nicholas, and Blake; 7 great-grandchildren; sibling, Sue (Jim) McGuire; and many more loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Seth McCarthy; daughter-in-law, Deana McCarthy; sister, Jan Tacey; and niece, Thea Mink.
