Rodney L. Peterson, age 66, of Moline, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity in Rock Island.

Born on March 16, 1959, in Rock Island, Illinois, Rodney was the cherished son of Keith and L. Maxine Hermance Peterson. In 2019, he retired as the owner and operator of Peterson Parking Lot Striping, Inc., leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication. Rodney was an avid hunter and devoted outdoorsman, finding joy in nature and sharing that passion with those he loved. He leaves behind his daughter, Kali Peterson; his grandchildren, Sydney and Ethan; and the love of his life for the last 44 years, Lynn Rowan. Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Keith and L. Maxine Peterson. In honoring his memory, cremation rites have been accorded, and there will celebration of life gathering from 4-6 pm on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island, Illinois.
