Ronald E. Deitz, 60, of Milan, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at his home. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Visitation will be from 1-5 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Cremation rites will follow the funeral. Memorials may be made in care of the Moody Bible Institute.

Ronn was born in Davenport on August 31, 1953, a son of Howard and Pauline Young Deitz. He married Danette Fisk whom he had two children with. They would later divorce. He married Chelli Palos on July 2, 2010 in Milan.

Ronn has been a truck driver for 30 plus years. He was currently employed at Penske Corporation.

Ronn enjoyed golfing, playing pool, mowing grass - even his neighbors, and riding motorcycles. He was also an avid Iowa Hawkeyes and St. Louis Cardinals fan. Ronn was a Christian man who was very devoted to the Lord. He always reached out to help others. Most of all, he loved his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include; his wife, Chelli Deitz, Milan; children, Tucker (Fiance, Justine Stratton) Deitz, Sherrard, Bailey (Shawn Sullivan) Deitz, Blue Grass, Iowa; step-son, Luke (Rebecca) Atteberry, Rock Island; grandchildren, Maddoxx John Hawk and Brecken Daniel Deitz, Sherrard; step-granddaughter, Catherine Lynn Atteberry, Rock Island; mother, Pauline Deitz, Davenport; and brother, Richard (Jackie) Deitz, Bettendorf.

He was preceded in death by his father and brothers, Steven and Michael.
