Ronald "Ron" J. Stritesky, 74, of Milan, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Lightways Hospice, Joliet, ILL. A Memorial Mass will be 10 am, Monday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Milan. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 pm to 6 pm at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030-7th Avenue, Rock Island, where a time of sharing will be held at 6 pm. Memorials may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church or to the family, where a memorial fund will be established at a later date.

Ron was born on February 13, 1948 in Moline, son of Richard and Pauline (O'Connor) Stritesky. He married Susan Schaecher on February 4, 1967 in Rock Island. Ron worked as a welder at John Deere Davenport Works for 37 years, retiring in 2004. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Quad City's Vintage Rods, 3-D Investment Club and the UAW. For 17 years, Ron volunteered to deliver breads and sweets to many families in need.

Survivors include his wife, Susan; daughters, Jody (Karl) Schmitz, Rock Island, Tracy Hugaert, Bettendorf, and Kelly (Chad) Mayerhofer, Milan; grandchildren, Jen, Blake, Brett, Brady, Kate, Ella, Claire, and Anna; great grandchildren, Elliett and Carson; sister, Amy (Stan) Roman, Moline; and many nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter and son, Kerry and Keith; and a sister, Judy.
