Ronald E. Jorgenson, 77, of Rock Island, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.  Funeral services for Ronald will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Wheelan Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7 ^th Ave., Rock Island.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Private inurnment with military honors will be at a later date in Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association.

Ron was born on August 7, 1941 in Windom Twp., Mower Co., Minnesota, a son of Martin and Caia (Sinjain) Jorgenson.  He served his country in the U.S. Army and later moved to the Quad Cities.  Ron worked for many years at Seaford Clothing Company and later retired from Servus Rubber.  He enjoyed playing cards with his friends and doing yard work.

Left to cherish Ron's memory are his cousins and childhood buddies, Nancy Russell, Caroline Munoz and Mike Hrdlicka; nephews, Larry Greeley, Oakland, MN and Steve Jorgenson; nieces, Rita Wyss, Spring Grove, MN, Cindy Greeley, Owatonna, MN., Cathy Blahnik, Spring Grove MN., Nila Bublitz, Spring Grove, MN., Callie Anderson, Austin, MN. and Becky Elmore, Tacoma, WA. and great niece, Jazzmyn Jorgenson. Ron also leaves behind long time best friend, Michael VanEarwage and his family; Scott VanEarwage and his daughter, Christy Fox; Cathy (Jason) Harris and their kids; Mark (Kris) VanEarwage and their kids; Jennifer VanEarwage and her daughter and Ron's Beloved dog, Foxy.
