Ron was born on January 16, 1962 in Davenport, IA, the son of Ralph and Susan (Heinze) Knuth. He was united in marriage to Jennifer Peterson on July 5, 1996 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Davenport.

Ron graduated from Davenport West High School in 1980 and went on to graduate from Augustana College in 1984. He later earned his Certification in Public Accounting. He currently worked as the Chief Financial Officer for Community Action of Eastern Iowa and previously worked as Controller for Midland (Elanders) Inc.

While at Augustana, Ron was a proud member of the Gamma Alpha Beta Fraternity, in which he gained many lifelong friends. He loved to play cards, attend Chicago Blackhawks hockey games, and golf with his GAB brothers.

Family was the most important thing in Ron's life. He was a very devoted husband and father, always staying involved in his children's activities. From musicals, to concerts, to track meets, and vacations, he always made sure he was their biggest supporter. He enjoyed being a troop leader and watching his son, Jonathan, move through the ranks from Cub Scout to Eagle Scout and later became an Eagle Scout Mentor. He also served as the president of the RIHS Band Boosters and took pride in watching his children perform at competitions. Additionally, Ron and his wife Jennifer donated much of their time to creating and caring for the 7 Habits Garden at Denkmann Elementary School.

Ron's hobbies included golfing, working on puzzles, gardening, and attending the theater. He enjoyed planning family vacations which included extended family as well.

Ron always put others before himself and will be remembered for his gentle, kind, and compassionate heart. His warm smile always brightened the room and brought uplifting spirits to those around him.

Ron was a man of faith. He was a long time member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Davenport and later became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moline.

Those left to cherish Ron's memory include his wife, Jennifer; children, Rebecca, Hannah and Jonathan; mother, Susan Knuth; sister & brother in law, Linda and Jeff Anderson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jeff and Nancy Peterson; nieces and nephews, Lauren Anderson (Clay Mason), Lindsey Anderson, Erik (Erin) Peterson and Tor Peterson; as well as many special cousins and his furry friends, Maggie and Millie.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Knuth; and in-laws, Sandra and Ward Peterson, as well as many other beloved family members.
