Ronald L. Parchert, 82, of Taylor Ridge, passed away Friday, August 28, 2026 at UP Trinity, Bettendorf.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Zion Lutheran Church, Taylor Ridge. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 East 4th Avenue, Milan. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Taylor Ridge. Memorials can be made to Zion Lutheran Church.

Ron was born May 18, 1944 in Rock Island, the son of William and Genevieve (Schmidt) Parchert. He married Carol Hofer-Howell in 2009 in Taylor Ridge.

Ron retired after 32 years from the State of Illinois Highway Department.

Ron was an 82-year member of Zion Lutheran Church. He enjoyed gardening, collecting guns and watching sports especially the Chicago Bears and Fighting Illini.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; children, Brett Parchert, Seattle, WA and Beth Vroman (Chris Salman), Downers Grove, IL; step-children, Cynthia Koehler, Rock Island, Vicky Ryckaert, Taylor Ridge and Julie Kerres, Taylor Ridge; grandchildren, Grace, Natalie and Jack; 4 step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren and brothers, Bill (Marilyn) Parchert, Illinois City and Paul (Lucinda) Parchert, Illinois City. He was preceded in death by his parents.
