Ronald J. Severtsgaard, 62, of Apollo Beach, FL., formerly of Rock

Island, passed away Saturday July 12, 2014 at South Bay Hospital, Sun

City, Fl.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday July 24, 2014 at

Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island, with visitation one hour

prior to services. Memorials may be left to the family.

Ronald was born on July 31, 1951 in Rock Island, the son of James and

Betty (Dilts) Severtsgaard. He married Paula Gilliam on April 19, 2000.

He had been employed as a contractor in the Quad City area for several

years before moving to Florida.

He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Paula; father and step mother, James and

Janice Severtsgaard, Hampton; children, Staci (Rodney) Jackson, Dina (Gary)

Severtsgaard, both of Davenport, Ronald "RJ" Severtsgaard, Birmingham Alabama;

step-daughters, Martha (Amber) Charlesworth, Alexandria, VA, Sara (Matthew) Schroeder, Omaha, NE, Abby Lund, Marietta, GA; 9

grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Jodi (Marty) Johnson

and John (Theresa) Severtsgaard.

Ron was preceded in death by his mother.
