Roosevelt "Jack" Welch, Sr., 82, of Omaha, NE, formerly of Davenport, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Funeral service will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at People's Missionary Baptist Church, Rock Island.  Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Roosevelt was born in Preston, Mississippi, to Annie Lee McGraw and Nace Welch, Sr.  He was preceded in death by both his parents; his loving wife, Dorothy; sister, Jimmie Sue; and brothers, John, Lamar and Nace Jr.

He leaves to cherish his many memories to his only son Roosevelt, Jr., Danville, IL; 5 daughters, Synthia (Yusuf) Lucas, Davenport, IA, Loretta, Jackee and Annie Welch all of Omaha, NE, and Deborah Welch, Atlanta, GA; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 8 brothers; 7 sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews, special extended family and friends.
