Rosalyn Jane "Rosie" Dingeldein. 86, of Davenport, formerly of Rock Island, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 at the home of her daughter, Lisa.

Private services will be held and private inurnment will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, is assisting the family.  Memorials may be made to St Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island.

Rosalyn J. Michel was born March 13, 1931 in Rushville, Ill., a daughter of William and Rose Platzbecker Michel.  She married John P. Dingeldein on Jan. 9, 1954 in Rushville.  They had four children and had been married 56 years.  John died May 11, 2010.

Rosie spent most of her life in Rock Island, where she and her husband served the community with their business, Dingeldein Gardens.  She will be remembered for her love of family and friends, for the hard work she shared with her husband, her dedication to their many customers and, for the joy of creating beautiful flower baskets.  Rosie will also be remembered for her beautiful smile which she shared with everyone, right to the end.

She is survived by her children, Phillip (Shelly), Michel (Brigitt), Lisa, and Paul; grandchildren, Justina, Clayton, Drew, Taylor, Caitlin, Brittany and Brady; great-grandson, Miles; and sisters and brothers, Barbara, William, Thomas and Marian.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
