Rose M. Elliott, 91, of Rock Island, passed away Monday August 11, 2014 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island.

A memorial service will be 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 15th, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2767 - 9th St., Rock Island. No visitation is planned. Inurnment will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 18th, at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, those wishing to attend are to meet 9:30 a.m. Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 - 7th Ave., Rock Island.

Rose was born August 14, 1922 in Jackson, Mississippi, one of eight children born to the union of Raif and Ora Bell Hopkins Robinson. She married James H. Elliott on June 27, 1959 in Bloomington, IL. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2011.

In addition to being a homemaker, Rose was employed for many years with Fresh Pak Candy Company. She was a pioneer member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Rock Island.

Suriving are her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby L. (Elvira) Stewart, Rock Island; stepdaughters, Lisa Elliott, Milwaukee, WI, and LaWanda Brown, Minnesota; grandchildren, Shquonda Stewart, Bettendorf, and Bobby L. Stewart Jr., Moline; four step grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; siblings (and spouses), Robert (Karen) Robinson, Sr., Topeka, KS, Alberta McCarthy, Jackson, MS, and Moses (Ida) Robinson, Sr., Rock Island; a host of nieces and nephews, and special friends, Lillian McElrath and Teresa Offutt, both of Rock Island.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Isaiah and Leroy Robinson, and sisters, Annie Anderson and Bertha Clark.
