Rose K. Nelson of Rock Island, IL. passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 14, 2021 after a short illness. 92 years young. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean and parents, Leo and Eva Jachowicz of Kewanee, IL.

She is survived by her sister, Joan Huffman of Kewanee; daughters, Gail Nelson-Burns of Huntington Beach, CA. and Denise Nelson-Cochran and her husband, Mike of Victorville, CA; and a son, Carl Nelson and his wife, Sherrie of Geneseo, IL.

Survivors also include five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A niece that resides in Florida and a nephew in Texas.

Rose retired after a 28-year career at Walgreens, that spanned the 1960's until the 1990's to enjoy traveling and gardening.

She spent many summers at the family cabin on the Rock River fishing, bird watching and playing cards.
