Rose M. Olson, 88, of Milan, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Bettendorf. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.

Rose was born in Tinley Park, Ill. on June 5, 1926, a daughter of Leon and Marie VanHecke DeBrobander. She married Robert J. Olson in Rock Island. He preceded her in death in 1986.

Rose worked many years as a supervisor for Service Master at Franciscan Hospital, currently, UnityPoint Health-Trinity Rock Island, and retired in 1988.

She enjoyed watching American Idol, Dancing with the Stars and spending time with her family and neighbors. She especially enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her Tapia family.

Survivors include her children (and spouses), Patricia (James) Barr, Indiana, Susan (Wayne) Bozik, Sandwich, Ill., and Robert Olson, Geneseo, Ill.; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and sister, Louise (Ronnie) Williams, Decatur, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter and son-in-law, Tamara and Miguel Tapia; siblings, Joseph, Emiel, Albert, William, Richard, George, Frankie, Leona, Margaret, Lorraine and Alice; and sister-in-law, Patricia.
