RoseMarie Booker, 73, of Milan, passed away Tuesday December 15, 2015 at her home.
A memorial gathering and Celebration of her life will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated later.
RoseMarie was born March 7, 1942 in Mason City, Iowa, a daughter of Claude and Bonnie Brim Hewett. She married Wayne Booker on December 23, 1964 in Milan, IL.
RoseMarie graduated from Rock Island High School, and later from Beauty College. She owned and operated The Hairstylist in Milan, later The Video Place for many years. She also served in the Mercer County and Rock Island Assessors Offices. She currently was the Coal Valley Township Assessor, and tax accountant with Quad City Tax Pro.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She especially enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters.
RoseMarie was a talented seamstress and enjoyed playing in card club with her friends.
Surviving are her husband, Wayne, of Milan; daughter, Shelley Weikert, Rock Island; son, Joe Booker,and his fiancee' Kelly Johnson-Lyon, both of Milan; granddaughters, Kayla and Amanda Weikert; sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Billy Eno, Sheffield, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
RoseMarie was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Robert, and Ronald Hewett; and her niece, Susie.
