Roxie Spencer, 73, Davenport, IA passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at UnityPoint Heath-Trinity in Bettendorf, IA. There will be a visitation from 10-11 AM with a funeral following at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Burial at Fairmount Cemetery in Davenport.

Roxie (Foxxy) M. Spencer was born on December 13, 1949 in Nettaville, Missouri, the daughter of Robert and Lossie Hubert.

Roxie professed her love for Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church prior to becoming really ill.

She worked as a packer at Brach's Candy Company for 18 years before they closed. She also worked as a housekeeper at Genesis East Medical Center, retiring after 16 years of service.

Roxie enjoyed cooking, spending time with family, cracking jokes and just having a good time.

She leaves not to mourn, but to celebrate her life, a son, Henry Hubert, Davenport, IA; daughters, Earline (Tracy) Parris, Kansas City, MO; Mary Hubert, Davenport, IA; adopted daughters, Jamie (Ramount) Walker Sallis, Davenport, IA and Yolanda Dickerson, Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, DeShawn, Alesa, NaEsa, Victoria, Lorenzo, and Marcus; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Dessie Stratton, Davenport, IA; brothers, Jessie, Willie and Oscar Hubert Sr., all of Davenport, IA, and Robert Hubert, Minneapolis, MN as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by both parents; her husband of twenty-two years, Leon Spencer; a stepson; eight sisters and two brothers.
