Roy I. Groenwoldt Jr., 71, of Davenport, died Monday, January 4, 2021 at UnityPoint Health – Trinity, Bettendorf.  Per his wishes, cremation rites were accorded and there will be no services.

Roy was born in Davenport, Iowa on August 22, 1949, a son of Roy I. Sr. and Margaret Yates Groenwoldt.

Roy worked as a forklift driver for thirty years at Ralston Purina and several years at Nichols Aluminum, both of Davenport.

Roy loved to watch NASCAR.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Anita Groenwoldt, Cornelius, NC and Christina "Crissy" Pairrett, Davenport, Iowa; several grandchildren; and sister, Paula (Henry) Ploen, Rock Island, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
