Samuel "Sam" Fulton, 66, of Rock Island passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at home.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 20th at Christ Apostolic Church, 1201 W. 6th St. Davenport, IA. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Monday at church. Burial will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 21st in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be left in care of the family.

Sam was born on July 4, 1955 in Rock Island, IL to Aaron Fulton and Helen (Hudson) Carruthers. He was united in marriage to Victoria Catherine Reese on June 24, 1995.

Sam worked for many years as a laborer at Servus Rubber in Rock Island. His hobbies included reading, playing card games, and watching Jeopardy. He was an active member of Christ Apostolic Church in Davenport.

Those left to honor his memory include his children, Ronnie Fulton, Pam Fulton, Sonya Portis, Tonya Major, and Rodger Fulton; grandchildren, Jaciah Fulton, Jamari Fulton, and Jatayshia Major; mother, Helen Carruthers; siblings, Michael (Patricia) Fulton, Vanessa Fulton, Donna Stoner, and Lonnie Boyd; brother in laws, Rob Robinson, Calvin Reese Jr., Lloyd Eston Sr., and Damon Reese; sister in laws, Gail Fulton, Raisa Manley, and Kelly Eston; two special aunts, Delsine and Christine; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Victoria; father, Aaron Fulton; father in laws, Bishop Rayes Soto and Calvin Reese Sr.; mother in law, Sandra Soto; siblings, Gloria Robinson and Larry Fulton; sister in law, Vickey Turpin-Reese; and niece Andrea Eston-Tensley.
