Sandra "Mickie" Hillyer, 72, of Rock Island, passed away Thursday March 23, 2023 at her home.

Memorial visitation will be 11am to 1:00pm Monday March 27, 2023 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Following the visitation, the family will have a gathering at the Rock Island Boat Club, 1706 Mill St W, Rock Island. Memorials may be left to the family.

Mickie was born April 4, 1950 in Rock Island, the daughter of Thomas and Audrey (Finnie) Hiatt.  She was a graduate of Rock Island High School Class of 1968. She later married Paul D. Hillyer on April 23, 1999 in Rock Island.

She had been employed as the manager at the Rock Island Boat Club in the 90's and had worked as a waitress at local restaurants.

Mickie loved reading, cooking, cross stitch and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Pam (Manuel) Barrios, Milan, Christopher Hansen, Rock Island, Tammy (Rob) Robinson, Virginia; step son, John Hillyer, Rock Island; grandchildren, Sadie, Anthony, Alex, Lilly, Adam, Lance, Brook, CJ, Allison and Wyatt, Dallas, Jordan, and Brice; siblings, Susan (Paul) Brauer, Terry Hiatt, Toni Smith, Tim Hiatt and Tracy (Dave) Whitford.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her parents, Thomas and Audrey; daughter, Amanda Hansen; son, John Hansen Jr.; siblings, Thomas Michael Hiatt, Joan Inez Hiatt, Colleen Sheila Haverly.
