Sandra "Sandy" L. Adams, 84, died Friday, January 3, 2025, at home.  A graveside service will be at 11:30 am Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at the Calvary Cemetery – Mausoleum Chapel, Rock Island.  Visitation will be from 9-11 am Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island.  Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made in care of Animal Aid, 239 50th Street, Moline, Illinois 61265 – www.molineanimalaid.org.

Sandy was born on May 10, 1940 in Independence, Iowa, a daughter of Homer C. and Henrietta Daut Friedman.  She married Kenneth L. Isaacs on June 8, 1958.  He preceded her in death on July 12, 2003.  She married Francis "Dale" Adams on August 18, 2012.  He preceded her in death on November 1, 2024.

Sandy retired in 1992 as an insurance clerk.

She was known to many as an animal enthusiast and activist.  She provided a good home to many cats and dogs over the years and never let an animal go hungry.  In addition to her passion for animals, she also enjoyed reading and cooking.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Diane (Jack) Selsor, Rock Island, Kevin (Michelle) Isaacs, Rock Island and Gregory (Sharon) Isaacs, Nokomis, FL; grandchildren, Emily, Rebecca, Christopher, Stephen, Mitchell and Stephanie; and great-grandson, Liam.

She was preceded in death by her husbands and sister, Carol Robinson.
