Sandra M. Gates, 63, of Milan, passed away Sunday June 11, 2017 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island.

Funeral services will be 10AM Saturday at First Church of the Nazarene, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 4-7PM Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left to First Church of the Nazarene.

Sandra was born on February 7, 1954 in Moline, the daughter of Paul and Marjorie (Swanson) Larson. She married Robert Gates on May 6, 1978 in Andover Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Gates retired from the Moline School District as a administrative assistant.

She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and BSF Bible study group. Sandra loved scrapbooking, craft, traveling, gardening and her beloved dogs, Amos and Andy.

Survivors include her husband, Robert; parents, Paul and Marjorie, Cambridge; brother, Michael(Sandy) Larson, Metamora; 3 nieces, 2 nephews, 2 great nieces, 3 great nephews; several close friends, co workers and extended family.
