Sandra J. Taylor, of Rock Island, passed away on Friday August 31, 2018 at UPH Trinity, Rock Island, IL. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday September 7, 2018. The complete service will be held at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, IL. The visitation will be from 11:00am to 12:30pm and the funeral service will begin at 12:30pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. Sandra was born July 23, 1951 in Centreville, IA., to Lillian (Jones) Barnett and Ivan Taylor. In her early years Sandra worked as a Classroom Aide for the Rock Island/Milan School District, she then moved on to be a Home Skills Trainer for United Cerebral Palsy and last worked as Bus Monitor for the Rock Island/Milan Head Start Program. She enjoyed taking care of and being there for others. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, enjoying herself and having a good time. Left to cherish her memory include her children, Lillian Taylor and Larrin (Tanaka) Taylor; grandchild, Ja'Del Hall-Taylor; siblings, brothers; Bobby Joe Taylor and Arnold Barnett; sister, Lynette Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
