Sar Paw, 61, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023, at St. Paul Anglican Church, 4200 12th Street, Rock Island, Illinois. Visitation will be held one-hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the church. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family.

Sar was born September 12, 1961, in Toe Poe Kee, Hlaing Bwe, Myanmar, to Saw Dee Heh and Naw Lah. She married Chit Thu. Sar was a nursing assistant in Thailand before relocating to the United States. She was a faithful member at St. Paul Anglican Church in Rock Island, where she did a lot of volunteering.

Survivors include her husband, Chit Thu; daughters, Mumu Nay and Po Chit; son, Thar Tun Myint; and grandchildren, Shwan Nay, Shane Nay, Patrick Paw, and Tina Paw.
