Sara "Yvonne" Jacks, 97, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday May 31, 2022 at ProMedica Skilled Nursing, Moline.

Funeral services will be 11am Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 10am to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island.

Yvonne was born on July 6, 1924 in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of David and Ruby (Williams) Young. She was a graduate of Davenport Central High School. Yvonne married Arnold Junior Jacks on July 19, 1947 in Clinton, Iowa. He preceded her in death on November 29, 1997.

Mrs. Jacks had been employed with Klockau and McCarthy Law Firm, Rock Island for 18 years as a receptionist.

Yvonne loved visiting with family and traveling.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Dennis and Cecelia Jacks, Rock Island; step children, Bonnie and John Calfa, Hinsdale, Terry and Jody Jacks, Moline, Duane and Carol Jacks, Moline; grandchildren, Cindy, Tammy, Lisa, Johnny, Nicky, Laurie, Angie, Theresa, Steven, Stacy, Brad and Chad; step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Davis and Ruby: sister, JoAnn Diedrich; and granddaughter, Christy.
