Sarah B. Behrens, 35, of Bettendorf, died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Bettendorf.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2136 Brady St., Davenport.  Visitation is 4 to 7 pm Tuesday at the church.  Private burial will be in the St. Paul Memorial Garden.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, is assisting the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for an educational fund for her children.

Sarah Beth Mullins was born Sept. 27, 1980 in Davenport, a daughter of James P. and Jolene M. Anderson Mullins.  She married Timothy J. Behrens on March 10, 2012 in Davenport.

Sarah graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in 1999, where she participated in choir.  She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master's Degree in Education from Western Illinois University.  Sarah was an elementary school teacher in the Davenport School District, teaching at Buchanan Elementary School and currently at the Blue Grass Elementary School.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Davenport.  Sarah loved teaching, was an avid reader and enjoyed music and musicals.  Her greatest love was for her family, especially her children.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Tim; children, Nathaniel and Elizabeth; stepson, William; parents, Jim and Jolene Mullins, Bettendorf; sisters, Anne Mullins, Bettendorf and Kelly (Chad) Terry, Davenport; several nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.
