R. Scott Maynard, 67, of Taylor Ridge, peacefully passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at home. Scott was born April 22, 1957, the son of Robert and Charlotte (Hartman) Maynard.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in care of the family for a memorial fund to be established at a later date. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan is assisting the family.

Scott's employment over the years consisted of using his mechanical skills until his early retirement due to health. He enjoyed going on motorcycle trips with friends and listening to music. Most of all Scott loved being with his family and friends. He especially loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events and playing with them outdoors.

Those left to honor his memory are his wife of 44 years, Rita; his two daughters, Sarah (Corey) Horn of Taylor Ridge and Stacy (Jason) Brown of Reynolds; his beloved grandchildren, Alyssa and Blake Brown, and Ryder, Catalia, and Ryan Horn; his brother, Mitchell (Phyllis) Maynard; sisters-in-law, Arlene Maynard, Renae (Russ) McConnaha, and Renita Gregory; nieces and nephews, Kelly (Eric) Fuller, Kyle Maynard, Whit (Debra) Sieben, Angela (Chris) Naylor, Jared (Anna) Maynard, Ashley Gregory, and Alana (Rudy ) Scavuzzo; and many more great nieces and nephews.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Duane and Barbara Rursch; brother, Raymond Maynard; sister, Marilyn Sieben; and brother-in-law, Paul Gregory.
