Shalonda Hoskins-Payne, 46, of Naperville formerly of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 at her residence.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island.  Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Shalonda was born on July 2, 1972 in Silvis, IL, the daughter of Willie L. and Marie A. (Jackson) Hoskins.  She was a graduate of Rock Island High School in 1990 and later from Western Illinois with a Bachelor's Degree. She worked as a customer service representative for Optum Service Inc., in Naperville.  Shalonda will be remembered for her being a great mother, daughter and sister, who loved spending time with her family.  She loved playing cards, traveling, wine and organizing.

Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Willie and Marie Hoskins, Rock Island; children, Arriyannah Johnson, Tyler Johnson; brothers, Dartanian Hoskins, Darren Whitten; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, who were all special to her.  She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Johnson.
