Sharon L. Lipe, 82, of Milan passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024 at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Rock Island.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be left in care of the family.

Sharon was born on October 7, 1942 in Rock Island, IL, a daughter of Lyle and Darlene (Crosby) Franklin. She married Boyd Elmo Lipe Sr. who preceded her in death on June 7, 2007. Sharon worked at Swords Veneer Lumber Company for over 30 years before later retiring.

Sharon's hobbies included shopping and decorating for every holiday. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandkids. She will always be remembered for her strong work ethic.

Those left to cherish Sharon's memory include her children, Mark (Debbie) Kirkhove, Don (Merry-Lynn) Kirkhove and Tina (Don) Taylor; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Lyle Franklin and Danny (Kyle) Franklin.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; and siblings, Larry Franklin, Ruby Franklin, Karen Eberts and Edward Franklin.
