Sharon L. Smith, 71, of Rock Island, passed away on Thursday, November 09, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Memorial services for Mrs. Smith will be 1 pm, Wednesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. Sharon was born on January 16, 1946 in Rock Island, a daughter of Reynard and Jean Petterson. She married Raymond E. Smith on May 2, 1964 in Milan. Sharon had worked as a supervisor at Litton Industries. Survivors include her husband, Raymond; children, Deborah (Kevin) McCaw, Santee, CA., Julie Smith, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA., Kori Hailey, Moline, Raymond G. (Marianne Svendsen) Smith, Mountain Home, ID. and Renae (Randy) Anderson, Moline; 10 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Raejean Cather, Milan and Carolyn Massie, Coal Valley.
