Sherry Diane Long, 65, of Milan, passed away Thursday September 7, 2017 at UnityPoint-Trinity, Rock Island.

A memorial gathering and celebration of Diane's life will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Inurnment will be at a later date. The family respectfully requests no flowers.

Diane was born on July 26, 1952 in Muscatine, Iowa, a daughter of Robert "Bob" and Louise Gosa Warren. She graduated from Rockridge High School, Class of 1970. She married Robert "Bob" Long on April 17, 1976 in Rock Island. She was retired from Dayco, Davenport. She enjoyed boating, camping, and spending time with friends at Jim's Knoxville Tap and in New Boston.

Surviving are her husband, Bob, of Milan; mother, Lousie Schmitt, of Daytona Beach, FL; brothers (and spouses), Scott (Bobbie) Schmitt, Chris (Rosemary) Schmitt, and Brian Schmitt, all of Daytona Beach; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family.

Diane was preceded in death by her father.
