Sherry L. Moss, 65, of Moline, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Services for Sherry will be 11 am Monday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 1pm to 4 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial fund that will be established later.
Sherry was born on May 23, 1950 in Rock Island, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Brenstrom Hall. She married Jon Moss on December 30, 1981 in Rock Island. Sherry worked for Serv-A-Lite Products Inc., East Moline for 15 years, retiring in 2008.
Sherry enjoyed celebrating Halloween with her family and friends. She loved animals, music, dancing and shopping. Sherry enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She was a kind and giving person, Sherry loved everyone unconditionally. In her earlier years she enjoyed playing softball and bowling. Sherry was a proud 1968 graduate from Rock Island High School.
Survivors include her husband, Jon; children, Larry (Danielle) Stone, East Moline, Elizabeth "Beth" (Howard) Hathorn, Rock Island and Jarrod (Leslie) Moss, Moline; grandchildren, Alexis, Mia, Brandon, Jordan, Joshua, Jayla and Isla; siblings, Sandy (Bill) Allen, Milan, Michelle (Darwin) Scheckel, East Moline, Patty (Larry) VanAuken, Milan, Pamela (Moses) Puig, Silvis, Chris (David) Hansen, Rock Island and Tim (Juanita) Hall, Rock Island; brother in law, Dick Christoff, Streator, ILL.; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, "Ellie".
