Sherry Lou Rousey (Mell), 74, of Silvis, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on August 2nd, 2022.

She was born to Betty and Larry Mell, on October 11th, 1947, the third child and only daughter. She graduated from Rock Island High School in 1965.

She married Glenn Rousey in 1971, whom she met while working at Deere & Company. She retired from Deere & Company after 32 years of employment. She had one daughter, Annalisa, who was the light of her life. She lived in Rock Island for 25 years before moving to Loveland, Colorado, the area she loved after many summer vacations. They lived in Colorado for 20 years before returning to Illinois.

She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Sherry enjoyed traveling, doing cross-stitch, and playing golf with family and friends. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her girlfriends at book club and playing mahjong.

Sherry is survived by her husband Glenn, daughter Annalisa (Tony), stepdaughter Jodean (Mark), and grandson Montgomery. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Terry and Gary Mell.

A Memorial service will be held at 10:30am Wednesday August 10, 2022 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation will be from 9:30am to service time at church.
